WON BY NINE WICKETS

A warm and sunny day at Raynes Park - and the somewhat depleted Ringers to bat first. The innings never really got going - with only three men reaching double figures - and then only just. Ravi Muthiah rolloing back the years with 3-10 to do the damage - the equally ageless Guy Martin picking up a wicket - and wicket each too for Khalid, Prakash and debutant Philip Catt. The highlight a bruising and towering catch by Will Thorogood.

Khalid and Jey Parthiban open for the Presidents - and with the fifty partnership coming up in the sixth over, the result is never in doubt. A torrent of runs from Khalid - with two mighty and imperious sixes as well as seven fours in his unbeaten 54. Jey perished just before the end - but the Presidents win in style - our biggest win batting second for six years - and our second highest 'wickets' win ever.
